Fine Press and Artists' Books
DU Special Collections collects fine press and artists' books, with an emphasis on contemporary English-language material.
This collection highlights the beauty of the book-as-object with examples of fine press books that emphasize hand-printing techniques and artists' books that move beyond the traditional codex format to challenge our notions of the book. We aim to collect books that intersect with other Special Collections, such as cookery and books on books.
Within this collection are related collections of miniature books, broadsides, and Shakespeariana.
The Fine Press and Artists' Books Collection is on display in the upper level of the Anderson Academic Commons in the Gottesfeld Room (AAC 313).
Review the Special Collections Development Policy for more information on our collecting objectives.
