Services

The Main Library and other key services located in the Anderson Academic Commons support the variety of ways that the DU community engages in research, writing, and teaching and learning. We also provide collections, services, technology, food services, and a wide variety of study and meeting spaces to help you succeed as faculty, students, or staff.

Options for borrowing, renewing, and requesting materials through the DU Libraries.

Students, faculty, and staff may request that materials be purchased to add to the DU Libraries' collections.

Get Help with Research, Writing, and Presenting

Research Center

The Research Center offers expert guidance through the research process from refining a topic to finding and evaluating relevant sources to creating a bibliography. One-on-one research consultations are available to current DU students, faculty, and staff at any stage of the research process.

Writing Center

The University Writing Center offers writing support, resources, and programming for all genres of writing, from creative pieces to academic papers/publications and career materials. We work with all undergraduates, graduate students, staff, and faculty. Click here to make an appointment for a 45-minute consultation.

Special Collections and Archives

Special Collections and Archives faculty and staff are available for consultation for research that requires the use, analysis, and citation of primary sources.

Language Center

Drop in to the Language Center for assistance in writing and delivering presentations in your second language.

Digital Media Center

Located in Anderson Academic Commons, the DMC offers self-service video editing and production, 3D printing, and audio/video equipment rental.

Find Homework Help

Language Center

The Center for World Languages and Cultures offers peer tutoring for DU students seeking extra help with language courses, conversation practice in a foreign language, or language proficiency exam preparation.

Science & Engineering Center

The Science and Engineering Center is a collaborative space staffed by undergraduate and graduate learning assistants (LAs) trained to assist students with first and second year biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering lecture and laboratory courses.

Math Center

The University of Denver Math Center offers free, drop-in tutoring for DU students in any of the following courses: Elements of College Algebra, College Algebra and Trigonometry, Business Calculus, and Calculus I/II/III.

Library Computers

Information on technology in the Libraries including lab computers, printing, scanning, and photocopying.

IT@DU

The IT Help Center provides technology support services to DU students, faculty, and staff in-person, online and via the phone.

Office of Teaching and Learning

The Office of Teaching and Learning is a focal point for faculty and program-driven design and development of creative technology projects that enhance student learning.

Use Spaces in the Library

Study Rooms

Over 32 group study rooms are available in the AAC to support academic work by DU students, staff and faculty working on group projects, studying together, or conducting meetings. Rooms may be reserved online.

Carrels

Reservable research carrels are available in AAC 180 for students working on long-term research projects (thesis, dissertation etc.). Students who meet the qualifications may apply for their own carrel.

Lockers

A variety of both short-term and long-term lockers are available for use in the Anderson Academic Commons

Front Porch Cafe

The Front Porch Cafe located in the Anderson academic commons has fresh flat bread sandwiches, full service coffee and teas, pastries, and a wide array of healthy options.

Information on reserving event spaces in the Anderson Academic Commons.

Faculty Reading Room

The Faculty Reading Room provides a quiet place for DU faculty to work in the Libraries.

Design a Course

Office of Teaching and Learning

Instructional Designers at the Office of Teaching and Learning are able to assist faculty with course design across all modalities (face-to-face, technology/web-enhanced, hybrid, or online).

Course Reserves

Course Reserves staff work with faculty to make available course readings and other materials, either print or online, to support the DU curriculum.

Subject Librarians/Liaison Services

Subject (reference) librarians are assigned to each academic unit on campus. Subject Librarians are available to meet with faculty to discuss the variety of supports the library can provide for teaching and curriculum development.

Digital Media Center

IT@DU's Digital Media Services, housed in the Anderson Academic Commons, provides audio and video services to students, faculty and staff across campus.

Video Creation Studio

The Video Creation Studio allows DU faculty and staff to create professional quality videos to help engage in best teaching practices for in-person, hybrid, and online courses.

Special Collections and Archives

Special Collections and Archives faculty and staff are available to meet with DU faculty to discuss the integration of primary sources into the DU curriculum.

Classroom Support

Classroom Support provides campus-wide solutions for supporting faculty with AV in general classrooms.
