The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Music Library is a separate branch of the University Libraries system, located on the fourth floor of the Lamont School of Music. The Music Library collection includes music scores, audio and video recordings, and books and journals on music and the study of music. All members of the DU community are welcome to access the collections and services of the Music Library. Access to visitors from outside of DU, as well as borrowing privileges for all patrons, is subject to the same policies as in the main library. Circulating items in the Music Library collection may be requested and held for pickup at the Music Library desk, the Anderson Academic Commons lending desk, or the Law Library service desk.

More about the music library

Items in the Music Library collection will display “Music” at the beginning of the Location designation in the library catalog: for instance, “Music Library Stacks,” “Music Library Reserve,” or “Music Media.” Reference items are non-circulating, and reserve items may be checked out for two hours for use in the library or in the adjacent computer lab. Some other items in the Music Library collection also do not circulate; most notably music scores shelved under Library of Congress call numbers M1, M2, and M3.
