University Library Association


The University Library Association (ULA) is a group of DU alumni, neighbors and friends who are dedicated to the premise that a great university must have at its heart a great library. Members are committed to keeping that heart strong, benefiting both the University of Denver and the community at large.

Since 1956, this advocacy group has met for educational and social functions, while raising funds for the University of Denver's libraries.  Dues-paying members enjoy monthly teas and lectures, special events, opportunities to volunteer, and affiliation with the University of Denver.

The University Library Association also operates the Book Stack, a used book store on campus in the Mary Reed building.

Collector $125

Bibliophile $250

• A Living Library book at the University’s Main Library, inscribed in honor of the ULA member

Penrose Society $500 or more
All the above benefits PLUS
• Unlimited guest passes to tea & lecture
• Invitation to the Penrose Society event and the annual Provost’s Concert at Lamont School of Music on an afternoon in April, with a dessert reception to follow.

Per IRS rules, from membership dues, $85 is directed to help cover the costs of events including refreshments and parking. Dues of more than $85 generate a charitable gift receipt for the amount over the cost of goods and services.
