Who we are

Established in 1972, the Dance Archive is an endowed collection in the University Libraries' Special Collections and Archives. The Dance Archive serves to advance education and engagement with resources across all genres of dance and movement, with an emphasis on the American West.

The Dance Archive collections

CBGDL Collections

The Dance Archive collections contain a variety of formats including: documents, rare books and journals, textiles, and audiovisual materials. University Libraries contains many dance-related publication that circulate. Rare books and other Special Collections materials require patrons to visit our Reading Room. 

Programming

The Dance Archive hosts three annual events, including an annual meeting, Legends of Dance Awards, and a trip to the Vail Dance Festival.
