The Hampden Center
The University of Denver is currently storing all library collections and materials at The Hampden Center, our offsite storage facility.
Books and other materials can be requested online and will be delivered to Penrose@Driscoll (the temporary Penrose Library in the Driscoll Student Center) from the Hampden Center. Delivery vehicles will be running in a continuous loop during the hours the library is open. We aim to deliver books within two to four hours of request.
Use our book and DVD paging service now by clicking the “Request it” button in the online catalog.
- From the catalog record, click the "Request It" button.
- Enter your name and DU identification number.
- You will be notified by e-mail when the item arrives.
- You may pick up the items at the Penrose Library circulation desk.
University of Denver patrons may also visit the Hampden Center non-browsable stacks, Monday thru Thursday from 8:00AM – 8:00PM, and Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
We recommend that you call 303-871-6700, to make an appointment for an in-person visit to this facility. Appointments are preferred so we can minimize your wait time for material retrievals.
