Electronic Reserves at Penrose Library
Materials can be placed on electronic reserve by faculty as required or recommended for their courses.
Please allow up to three weeks for requests to be processed. We will e-mail you when your request has been fulfilled.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproduction of copyrighted materials. See fair use guidelines at: http://www.du.edu/intellectualproperty/fair_use.html .
Requesting Electronic Reserves
Articles, book chapters, syllabi and other documents can be made available to students electronically through e-reserves.
To submit an e-reserve request, please provide complete bibliographic information for each item requested.
Electronic Reserves Requests may be made in person at the library circulation desk OR online at e-reserve request form OR by sending an e-mail to ereserve@du.edu with the course name, course number, instructor, and a list of complete citations for the requested items
If you already have photocopies of the requested articles or chapters, we ask that you please mail or bring them to the circulation desk at Penrose Library. We will scan the copies and return them to you. If you have electronic versions of the material, please e-mail ereserve@du.edu with the files attached. This will expedite the e-reserve process.
If you do not have copies of the requested material, we will obtain copies, digitize them, and post them to e-reserves as a PDF attachment or URL.
Please return all library materials checked out to you which you are requesting for reserves to allow time for processing and placing on reserves. If library material is currently checked out, we will recall the material and process for reserve when the material is returned.

Reactivations
To reactivate e-reserve material previously used for a course, please provide the course details and we will reactivate the archived course page and any documents associated with it.
You may use the e-reserve reactivation form to submit your request OR send an e-mail to ereserve@du.edu with the course name, course number, instructor, and the last quarter the e-reserves were used.
If any e-reserve material associated with the course is no longer needed this quarter, please include this information in your request, and we will remove those selections when we reactivate the course.
To request additional material to be added to e-reserves for the reactivated course, please submit a separate e-reserve request (see instructions above) for the new material.
If you have questions or need further assistance, please contact us at 303.871.3707 or ereserve@du.edu .
