EXPLANATION OF CHARGES:

Digital Production Services (DPS) charges a nominal equipment, labor, and material fees for all services except for course related content for faculty. More information on course related materials can be found here http://library.du.edu/services/reserves/index.cfm.

There are two types of status for billing purposes; DU-affiliated and non-affiliated. All DU-affiliated groups or persons must provide a valid department organization number that DPS can use for billing purposes.

If groups or persons are unable to provide a valid department organization number they will be classified as non-affiliated and subject to a different rate structure. Direct mail billing for non-affiliated groups and individuals is allowed although an organizational transfer through the department of Event Services is preferred.

Classroom Video Recording

There is no charge for class related video recordings. We must have the following information in order to classify as class related. Class must have valid course number, attendance open to all University staff through use of a tuition waiver, and the credits gained from successful completion of the class must be applicable towards a degree-granting program. Non-classroom-based guest lectures are considered an event when held out of normal class time and are open to the public to attend. Seminars, meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and student events are considered as an event and charges are applied. Non-Classroom video recordings are subject to standard charges.

Video Production

We have both standard and high definition available for location shoots, events, and interviews. There is an hourly charge for labor and an additional charge for the equipment and media needed for the video shoot.
