Transgender Day of Remembrance

Tuesday November 20th is the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, held to honor people around the world who have been killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. Originally established in 1999 to honor Rita Hester, the Transgender Day of Remembrance aims to raise public awareness about transgender-motivated hate crimes and to memorialize the victims of those crimes.  For more information, see the following resources:
