You know that Penrose Library is the place to go when conducting research, but did you know that we are also the place to turn when you are looking for a break from your classes?
We own 9,000 DVDs, many of which are popular feature films and TV shows. You can search our library catalog for particular DVDs, or you can browse the rotating collection of DVDs on the “Grab-and-Go DVD Cart” in Penrose@Driscoll. Once you check out your DVD, you have an entire week to watch and re-watch your selection.
Need a Hunger Games fix? We also own many popular fiction and nonfiction books and ebooks. Search our catalog, located on the Books, Journals, & More tab on the library homepage, to find the perfect book to read in your downtime. And if our copy is checked out, you can borrow from another area library via Prospector for free!
If you are looking for suggestions of what to read next, check out Novelist, a readers’ advisory database. Read more here about Novelist and how best to utilize its many features. Also check out our Reading for Pleasure research guide and our links to current and past book displays for more ideas about books to read in your spare time.
Don’t forget to ask the Research Center if you need help using these or any other resources!
