The UTS Help Desk (303.871.4700), which provides computer and software support, can help you set-up printing from your personal laptop.   The Help Desk is at the UTS Building at 2100 S. High Street, at the corner of Evans and High (map).

When I print, where does it come out?

All print jobs sent from any of the public use computers in the library can be released at any of the four print stations in the library, two are located near the reference desk and two at the UTS Helpdesk. Using your Pioneer Card or a red VTS print card, you can use the “release station” to complete the print job. If you have problems you can ask for help at the UTS Helpdesk or the Research Center Desk (Reference area printers are managed by the circulation desk when the Research Center is closed).

Color printing is available at one printer near the UTS Helpdesk.  To print in color select “Penrose Helpdesk Color” from the dropdown list of printers in the print dialog box.  Print jobs can then be released from the color print release station.

Students receive 300 free black and white, single-sided pages of laser printing a quarter. After the 300 pages are used up, then it is 7 cents per page. More information regarding public printing locations on campus can be found here.

You can add money via a credit card through this online service. The webpage for the Pioneer Card Office is here. You can also use cash by locating the red deposit box on the main level of the library between Quick Copy and the UTS desk. For help or questions using this box, contact the Research Help Desk.
