The Medical Department of the University of Denver was established in 1881. In 1902 it merged with Gross Medical College to form the Denver and Gross College of Medicine, still affiliated with the University of Denver. In 1911 the combined school was merged with the University of Colorado Medical School, and the University of Denver ceased to have a Medical School.

Scope and Content

The collection of the Denver College of Medicine consists of legal documents, school histories, correspondence and newspaper clippings covering the years 1899 until 1912 a year after the school merged with the University of College.
